If you like superhero movies, you won’t regret watching Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. But unfortunately, it did not fare well with us. No doubt, the movie has some exciting points which will keep you glued to the screen. Anyway, here’s our take on the movie.

batman v superman

The Cast

Director Zack Snyder addressed the criticism of his previous movie, Man of Steel (released in 2013) and promised to overcome all the loopholes. Sadly, he missed the mark. Many were doubtful when Ben Affleck was casted as Batman. But he proved critics and fans wrong by playing an applauding performance as the grouchiest Batman ever. All other cast including Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot and Jesse Eisenberg were not bad either.

Drawbacks of the movie

For a highly anticipated movie, Batman v Superman did disappoint us a little bit. The storyline kind of dragged on for a while. The build up to the climax isn’t worth it especially if you’re someone who lacks patience. But the idea of watching the two biggest superheroes of the DC universe was too irresistible.

Why watch this movie?

If you are a big fan of Ben Affleck, then you can watch this movie as he gave an outstanding performance as Bruce Wayne. Henry Cavill gave an okay performance but somewhere in between he lost the character’s inherent humanity. Gal Gadot played the role of Wonder Woman. A role that kept everyone guessing and wondering.

Like we said earlier, if you’re a comic geek and loves anything that is DC, this is for you. Don’t let critics and reviews stop you from watching the titans clash.

Last verdict

Ben’s fantastic performance doesn’t help at all to avail good feedback. But if the outcome at the box office means anything, you should get ready for a ride.

One word for this movie is “Okay”. Our ratings would be 2.5/5.
